We can safely agree that it is dangerous to drive without being able to see what’s ahead of you so it is VERY important to ensure that your windshield wipers function properly. Small streaks, smudges and debris on your windshield could be the culprit of a nasty crash.
It is recommended that you replace your windshield wipers once every six months depending on their condition. If your wipers have been well maintained, you may be able to get away with a couple extra months. Easy way to remember to replace your wipers is to change them when you change your clocks!
If you’re looking to extend the life of your wipers, give them a clean with a wash cloth and the same solvent you use to clean your windshield at the gas stations when you go to pump gas. Also, make sure to avoid using them to scrape frost and ice off your windshield during the winter months. That’s what Ice Scrapers are for!
