When’s the last time you gave your brakes a wipe? Did you know that if left too long, brake dust combined with road dirt, moisture and heat from braking can cake on to your car’s wheels and rims? Brake dust can typically be found on the surface of tires and rims. If left unnoticed, it can cause erosion in the clear coat of your rims. Because brake dust typically clings to wheels with static electricity, a simple wipe with a damp sponge and cold water every couple weeks is the most effective method of getting that gunk of your rims and tires.
